Segmen Hala Tuju Selepas SPM: Matrikulasi, Asasi, STPM atau Diploma?

Haa adik adik lepasan SPM kat luar sana. Memandangkan akak kau ni mengikut peredaran zaman, tetiba rase terpanggil lak nak buat entri pasal korang tau. Silalah happy sikittt

Memang takleh nak elak bab bab pilih memilih ni. Dari pilih kasut, baju, suar, boyfren, gilfren sampailah pilih course kegemaran korang. Akak kau ni pun dulu konfius gak bile nak pilih masuk ape lepas SPM tau tau.

Sebenarnye ade banyakkkk sangat choice korang boleh masuk lepas SPM tau. Bukan stakat Matrik, form 6, asasi, diploma bagai.

Contoh Asasi UIAM

1. ASASI

Asasi ni biasenye orang fikir untuk orang pandai-pandai je. So bile masuk asasi je rase bangga nak mampus sampai rase nak bagitau orang kampung ye dak? Aku masuk matrik je. So bile mak jemah tanye aku masuk mane, aku cakap la matrik kan, lepas tu dengan kereknye die cakap anak die masuk Asasi. Hek eleh mak jemah ni. Aku pun buat muke selamba je. Malas nak layan. Fyi, most of students misunderstood pasal asasi ni. Gara gara apa? Sebab die rase malu nak masuk matrik. Hakikatnye Asasi same je macam matrik. No way babe, kalau result asasi kau teruk nak mampus universiti yang kau blaja asasi pun tak nak kau. So jangan ingat asasi dah selamat la kan. Pointer teruk kau kena mohon sambung degree kat tempat lain. Kalau pointer ok je boleh sambung. Kesimpulan yang aku boleh simpul kat sini, kalau kau masuk asasi tapi malas nak belajar tak gune jugak ye adik adik dan kakak kakak.

2. MATRIKULASI

Haa aku masuk matrik. Orang selaluuuuuu terpengaruh dengan perkara perkara negatif pasal matrik ni. Orang selalu cakap "Matrik susah", "susah nak score", "Tak boleh bawak, laju sangat", " Stress giler duduk matrik" dan macam macam lagi anasir luar. Tapi kan, memang matrik susah pun sebab laju giler belajarnya. Nak score kau kena rajin, ikut flow study. Makan ikut waktu, study ikut waktu dan tido ikut waktu. InsyaAllah berjaya la. Cuba tanya senior korang, berapa ramai yang berjaya lepas masuk matrik. Cuma kan, kalau pointer kau bawah 3.00, susah sikit la nak dapat course yang menyeronokkan. Mungkin kena lelong( ini yang orang takut sangat samapi taknak masuk matrik) Come on la, yang nak berjaya siapa? Korang ke orang lain? So ketepikan cerita cerita negatif tu and just follow your heart :) Ingat, masuk matrik kena rajin ye. Best tau matrik. Sepanjang aku kat matrik, Alhamdulillah aku tak pernah pun stress macam orang dok heboh.

Pastu mak die pun suruh masuk kolej swasta (sanggup tu berhabis masuk kolej swasta) Kalau form 6 bayar murah je. So, buatlah pilihan yang terbaik.

4. DIPLOMA

Terpaksa guna result SPM. Lain pulak cerita kalau orang tu dah habis diploma, lepas tu die malassss sangat nak sambung degree sebab dah penat dah belajar diploma 3 tahun. So die akan end up belajar sampai diploma je lepas tu terus carik kerja. Sebab dah takde jalan lain. Tapi kalau nak amik diploma pun tak salah. Janji rajin :)

5. SIJIL/KEMAHIRAN

Contohnya sijil kemahiran menjahit. Someone tu masuk Giatmara untuk belajar menjahit/memasak. Pastu kau perlekehkan dia sebab tak dapat masuk universiti.. padahal kau tak tau, orang macamtu la yang berjaya nanti. Ramai pelajar pelajar sekarang meletakkan Kolej Komuniti, Institut Latihan Perindustrian etc sebagai pilihan terakhir. Sebab ape? Sebab dorang rase tak khelass. Aku dah banyak sangat jumpa orang macam ni. Kau tau tak, dah ramai orang kaya kaya yang berjaya lepas belajar kemahiran dekat kolej2 yang aku sebut tadi? Zaman sekarang ni dah ramai sangat orang belajar sains bagai so bidang kemahiran pun kurang.

Jadi adik adik kenalah pandai memilih.

Result SPM aku dulu haprak. Sedih gila sobsob menangis nangis aku. Lepas tu aku buat keputusan masuk matrik dan Alhamdulillah. I performed well :) Jadi kepada mereka yang pernah memperlekehkan aku masa masuk matrik dulu, tutuplah mulut kau sebab aku habis degree awal dari kau. wekwek!

Bad SPM results is not the end.

by Baihaqi Bahrin (Share your thoughtful opinions with 50,000+ students in Malaysia!)
Living in this auspicious life, SPM results seems to be a mandatory benchmark to value students on their oncoming future, and the never ending questions of how many A's do you get is a good earworm for those who scored goodly but is a mental abuse to those who didn't get to what has been expected thus leaving them into an idea of a self failure leading through a self mental suicide and into the phase where they ignore to progress themselves in life and creating a weltschmerz feeling within themselves.“The biggest atrocity of all is to indoctrinate our children into a system that does not value their creative expression, nor encourage their unique abilities.” -Benjamin Greene. We live in an education system where the learning process is not sufficial than getting the actual result itself, what's the point of studying things which is only beneficial in exams but not in your life. I'm talking about implanting the neccesity of studying and what you can do with that knowledge.

You can study your heart out and get good results but life is full of suprises and unexpected events and maybe SPM is not your moment of triumph, but patience and soon shall it come, just because you get bad SPM results doesn't make you a failure, you know who you are, you don't want to be walking on this path with fear, you need to live life to your full expectancy and to not forsaking that idea of living just because life doesn't play along with your way of living, you don't want people to be looking at you with sympathy but if you're willing to fight your way through this academic failure, to not give up and to keep prospering the gift of life, if you're determined enough to change yourself, your character and to the idea of being successfull, to learn from your mistakes, if you really want it bad enough and to fight for it, sacrifice your day and night for it, if living without it seems worthless, you have to do something about it and stop blaming the bad things that encountered your life in order to reclaim your moment of triumph in the future.

Start thinking about your future study plans, get a head start in organising on your studies when you're in college how long will you spare your time on studying and when, how will you study or where, how will you divide your time in a daily basis for activities and make a good study habit and etc, but your hunger, how vicious are they? Let that flame ignite in your heart and remember that you're reclaiming your moment of triumph, your glorious comeback it takes that one step to change everything how people will see you. Don't keep on hoping to a certain person someone to support your dream live independently, live with your own flesh and anticipate with the worst, people might be offering hands but it's not going to be eternal, be furious be passionate in what you're studying.

The past has passed let it go, this notion of people of your current situation is temporary, you will feel lost, you will feel worthless and you will absolutely feel defeated but life is all about consistency and the greatest comeback always comes from those who have fallen, and I believe you'll need a great fall before taking that leap of faith. You've survived a chapter of your life, let people make you feel worthless, the words of people or the less interest they show in you shouldn't be a bother because once you step back in the game, that one step, all you need is that one leap of faith, to change everything to change how people will look at you, their perception of you and every single thing about you just one glorious step, the comeback that's what you're waiting for, you life doesn't end just because you have bad SPM results, no the world doesn't work that way although society might claim it to be. Remember that your life has values, but when it comes to effort, it's all about you, SPM might have been a game over but the past has passed, let it go.

Thomas Edison

For instance, Thomas Edison the father of lightbulb, in his early years was accused by the teachers which they said that he was "too stupid to learn anything." But that words of rejection won't keep lingering on Edison's mind and he is now a famous inventor, Edison made 10,000 unsuccessful attempts at inventing the light bulb. When a reporter asked, "How did it feel to fail 10,000 times?" Edison replied, "I didn’t fail 10,000 times. The light bulb was an invention with 10,000 steps." thus reclaiming his moment of triumph and this act of not giving up in order to reach one's goal has been a contribution to the humanity as you can see light bulbs shimmering the night in almost every places you go to.

Let not the weight of hardship in this world burdens you because when there's still a chance to progress and improve yourself, you shouldn't give up unless you're done with the way life is treating you but consider yourself an eternal failure once you've completely given up on life, or you can choose the second option, which is the urge to not give up and to not giving in to the idea of letting the failure stops you from glowing your true potential, it might seem like it's the end of the world or probably your life, but it's not, the idea of successful in life is subjective, it's how you want it to be, you yourself know what you're capable of and people can't change that and always remember to embrace your self worthy. Whatever you do, never ever give up in life and keep on progressing.

Personal note from Baihaqi Bahrin:
It's kinda saddening to see such potential people giving up on life just because to the idea of getting bad results in SPM and I've seen a person who refuse to study till the age of 28 just because giving in to the idea of getting bad results in SPM which he thought it as officially the end of his life's journey, I composed this in order that it will help them people to keep progressing in terms of education, how can something so great turned out to be so hopeless? SPM results is not your actual "how succesful you'll be" benchmark, it's what you do in your college years. The mindset, I would like to change that, I would like to see people reclaiming their moment of triumph, I would like to help people, because no matter how far we tend to be ignorant, we all need help.
Baihaqi Bahrin

Baihaqi Bahrin would to stay covert if possible, his only intention in doing this is to motivate people to keep on progressing throughout their lives and probably in terms of education, and to not giving in to the idea of getting bad results in SPM is the end of your journey.

What is SPAM and how to prevent it

Spam, spammer and spamming; what are these words mean?
  • Spam – is an unsolicited message or messages that you received usually in your email from unknown sender.
  • Spammer  – the person responsible of sending unsolicited messages via email or in all media outlet.
  • Spamming – is an act of doing or sending spam messages.

Types of spam?

  • Spam email – this is the most popular one. If you are having an email account from Yahoo, Hotmail or AOL, everyday you received spam emails. Some are asking you to buy something with great discounts. The other might offer you free services, free dating and more. There are also few, asking you to help them and offers a great amount of money, if you do (be careful with this type of spam).
  • Spam comments – when the blogosphere started to gain popularity. Then, ten years ago, spamming techniques also evolved. Thus, spam comments gave birth. The mean goal of this is to get link juice to their new blogs or site to improve SEO. However, since Google started to update its algorithm this method is no longer viable. But still many are using  spam comments to showcase their product and services. Especially when they don’t have your email address. Their comments are usually out-of-the-topic and full of links.
  • Spam websites – Like spam comments, spam website created to promote spammer’s products and services. On the contrary, some also use it to break other legitimate sites. By copying its original contents and post it on spam websites to add toxic links on quality sites. Most of this sites are having less content, untargeted niche and low quality content. However, there are also spam websites that produce hundreds of articles a day. Again, by copying quality and original content from legitimate sites and paste it on their own site.

Spam samples

Spam Email – this is just one of so many spam or junk emails that I received everyday. I highlighted the title which already look illicit. It seems that the spammer is using an icloud account but that’s not conclusive. Outlook filtered it as junk. Be careful not click the link it provides.
Spam-Email
Spam comments – these are just a few from hundreds of spam comments that my site received. I’m just glad of having Akismet plug-in that automatically filtered spam comments.
If you observed, the spammer leaves a flattering comments with their links. Some are using wrong spelling and their comments doesn’t add value to the post topic.
Spam-Comments
Spam website – this site copied everything from one of my post and put it on his website as if his own article. As what you can see from the post title up to the way I write, it’s a complete resemblance of my article. What to do if you encounter this problem. I will tell what I did, in the later part of this post.

How to prevent spam?

Practically, you cannot stop spammers from getting you spammed, especially on your emails. But even free email services today are smart enough to block spam emails. In my experience Outlook spam filters are excellent.
To protect your email and prevent spammers from getting your email address. Follow the guide below:
  • Do not publicly display your email address in your social media networks.
  • Use spam filters if it is available in your email accounts.
  • Block spammers in the very first time they send you an email and put their emails in the trash.
  • Before giving your email address to any website, check their privacy policy first. Make sure they don’t sell your email address.
  • Do not download free software from the site you do not trust. It may include spyware that gathers your computer’s personal information including your email address.
  • Do not open any email attachments or click any links unless you know the sender and you are expecting it.
  • Consider using two email address one as receiver/forwarder and a permanent one. Once your forwarder email started to get spam emails you can easily close it. Without hurting your private email address.
How to protect your website or blog from spam comments?
  • Install a captcha plug-in as your first line of defense. While it’s not 100% accurate, but at least you will get rid of spam bots.
  • Install Akismet plug-in. It will do the work and will save you ample time than manually moderating comments yourself. All you have to do is to approve comments that passed Askimet spam filters.
How to fight spam websites or content scraping?
This is the toughest challenge that I ever had. If you’ve been blogging for years, you know how duplicate contents may affect your site. You cannot just report to Google  or to DMCA right away.
  • First you have to send an email to the spammer. Ask him/her to remove the duplicate content.
  • When there is no contact email which is always the case, do a WHOIS look-up to see the domain registrar and the host.
  • Then file a DMCA complaint with the hosting company or with Google.
If none of the above worked for  you, a legal action may be appropriate. But it’s costly, right? To some bloggers they use the “do nothing approach” instead. Anyway you cannot prevent anyone from copying your content. For authority sites it may be fine but for start-up blog it may be dangerous.
So, my first approach is I installed a TYNT script. Once someone copied my content TYNT will add a link of attribution at the bottom of each post. Then, I used to interlink every articles that related to each other. So that, when the spammer copy my article, he/she will also copy the related links that points to my site. Thus, Google will know that it is me who made that article.
Bottom line
In my experience, there is no way to that we can stop spam and spammers by 100%. But someway or another by following the guide above you can lessen the ill effects of spam. Prevention still better than cure, by not giving away your email it will cut 60% chances of getting spammed.
Spam comments can also be eradicated by using the right and trusted plug-in. The content scrappers are a bit hard to handle but using simple techniques such as TYNT and interlinking may  of great help.

How to create system restore in Window 7

System Restore in Windows 7

System Restore is a built in feature of all windows operating systems, from Windows XP, Vista, Windows 7 and Windows 8. Its purpose is to restore the previous good computer system configuration (when it is needed) without losing your personal data, like your email, documents and images of precious moments.
System Restore Windows 7, is sort of a computer system back-up (but it is not) that can be used in case of unexpected computer troubles. It is very simple to use, in just a matter of 8 clicks and less than 30 minutes you can bring back your computer to its known working configuration.
System Restore

How to create a System Restore Point in Windows 7?

System Restore cannot run without a Restore Point. So, make sure to have one. For us, System Administrators, it is our SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) to always make a Restore Point after we Install Windows 7 Operating Systems or Reformat a Computer.
The first thing you should do, is to turn on the Hard Drive’s System Protection.
Right click “My Computer” ———>>> Click “Properties” ———>>> Select “Advance System Settings———>>> Go to “ System Protection Tab” ———>>> From there, click the Hard drive or the Partition that you want to have the System Restore turned on ———->>> Then, click “Configure” ———->>> Tick the “Restore system settings and previous versions of files” ———>>> Finally, strike “Apply or OK”.
Now, you are rest assured that the System Protection will automatically make a Restore Point as per scheduled. However, do not rely on that, do a manual creation of System Restore.
Right click “My Computer” ———>>> Click “Properties” ———>>> Go to “ System Protection Tab” ———>>> Then, click “Create” ———>>> Type your desired Restore Point name and hit “Create” ——–>>> Wait for the confirmation ——–>>> You should see a message “The Restore Point was created successfully” and you are done. You just made a Restore Point for future System Restore.

What Computer Problems does System Restore may be helpful to use?

  • System Restore in Windows 7 is a very good at solving computer troubles made by software installation, corrupt drivers and wrong driver installation.
  • System Restore also helps removes present viruses by restoring the computer to the time that the computer wasn’t infected yet. That’s why, if you noticed, new viruses, prevents you from using System Restore in Windows 7 and  safe mode, to protect itself.
  • System Restore can resolve Windows 7 Services.

7 sign that we should know Flash Drive had been infected by virus.

Flash drive is a PORTABLE STORAGE DEVICE some prefer to call it ELECTRONIC STORAGE DEVICE. It has been baptized with various names such as: Removable drive, Pen Drive, Portable disk and Data Traveler.

What makes it better than Diskette?

The obvious reason is the size. Diskette has a total capacity of 1.44 mb while Flash Drive on its first launch already able to store about 16 mb, it’s 13 x greater. And it continues to evolve, as of this time of writing the highest storage capability of USB reaches to 64 gigabyte.
Second is the reliability. Yes, it is more reliable compared to Diskette. I would say 100 x more reliable. With today’s virus evolution, diskette cannot handle it anymore. It became an easy and more fragile target, leaving its users more prone of losing important files. One instance of diskette’s unreliability in my experience was, I saved my files in it using my PC, but when I tried to open it with another machine it won’t. So I brought it back home and I was able to reopen it using my PC. However, after a week I cannot open it anymore, even using my own PC. Therefore, I conclude diskette isn’t really reliable, for me it is only designed for file or data, transfer it is not for storage purposes. Thanks Flash Drive was made.

You mean Flash Drive is invincible from viruses?

No! With its auto run capability, it can easily get and spread viruses. So, what should we do then? Know the signs of virus infected Flash Drive and get rid of it the soonest possible before it becomes a headache on your part. What are the signs of virus infected flash drive? Let us find out.

1. It shows two folders.

Most Flash Drive’s autorun automatically after inserting it into a PC, so if you see two (2) folders, something are wrong inside.

2. It has unrelated options after you right click it.

Please note that unrelated options that you may encounter may differ from the image below. Therefore take note the normal options; if anything added or new options appear, your Flash Drive may be infected.

3. “Removable disk icon” replaced by a “folder icon”

4. No icon at all.

5. An error appears when opening.

Please take note that the error you may come across may differ from the image below, this is just one of many possible errors if your Flash Drive is being infected by virus. Somehow, you can still open it by typing the drive letter of your Flash Drive in the “windows explorer/address”

6. It shows “open with” options.

This usually happens when you open your Flash Drive but instead of seeing your files “open with” options come into view.

7. Flash Drive opens in new window.

This symptom is the most overlook one. Normally after double clicking your Flash Drive, it must be open in the same window but if it opens in new, then something’s wrong.
Update! The latest signs of virus infected flash drive that create a shortcut which is now the most common signs of virus infected flash drive.

Shortcut Virus.

It has two types, the most common one is (files and folder shortcut virus), it mimics your data  with shortcut icons of your files and folders. The other one is the (Thumb Drive shortcut virus), it hides and enclose your files in a folder and replace it with (Pen Drive shortcut). To get more info about it, visit: How to remove shortcut virus on Flash Drive.
Have you experienced all the seven signs? If not all, which one? How about the latest sign?
Upon knowing the seven (7) signs of  the virus infected Flash Drive, you may now have the knowledge of determining if your Thumb Drive is infected or not. But it will be of no use if you don’t know how to heal it or remove the viruses inside it. Check this post to know how. How to remove viruses inside Flash Drive.
